Just a few of our finishes...
Joicci Decorators has years of experience working with a vast range of products, from hanging exclusive hand painted, silk wallpapers in London, to marbling effects, lime washing and other classic paint finishes. We can achieve most of the different types of paint finishes, wall coverings and textures that you need to make your home, feel like home.

Covet fashion is one of our later projects, located on Shotover Street, Queenstown. All main wall areas in shop and changing rooms have been finished in a French wash, trim and floor areas, are finished in Albescent white - view gallery

The new Prime Restaurant & Bar located on the water front at Rees St, Queenstown. This was a specialty job using Sandtex with metallic and Tuscan effects. Both of these specialist finishes are ideal for most areas of your home, anywhere you think a good durable finish is required, and something a little different! View the Prime Photo Gallery.

Sandtex is a specialist coating two coats were used here applied by brush in crows foot method then a (optional) metallic paint finish to achieve a solid fleck texture. Tuscan affects the classic worn mottled look, ageless in appearance excellent durability.

Note the two floating ceilings in the centre of the restaurant also in Tuscan but darker colour use here to the walls.

A few other notable projects that we have been involved with over the years in and around Queenstown; Millbrook Resort, The Heritage Hotel, Blanket Bay, Punatapu and various designer homes around the Wakatipu Basin.

Internationally we have worked on exclusive private residences of the UK, in Hale, Chelsea, Hyde Park and Kensington and an elegant restaurant of Mayfair in London.

Below are a selection of just a few of our projects:

New buildings immediately take on an established air and blend with their surroundings and, in time 'blooms' to give a gentle ageless beauty.
DraggingDragging
In this technique, brush bristles are dragged evenly through a still-wet glaze to produce a finely striped effect. Hardly visible at a distance, yet rich enough to give wall colours depth and softness.
Color WashingColour Washing
The most nostalgic, countrified finish in the decorator's current repertoire. Their look is the work of time and weather on traditional limewashed surfaces.
SpongingSponging
Sponging colour on to walls or furniture is one of the quickest and easiest ways of creating a soft, dappled effect.
Rag RollingRag Rolling
A room that has a period feel, with relatively high ceilings, elegant details such as plaster cornices, is a perfect candidate for the subtly formal-looking treatment of old fashioned ragging.

Ageing & Disressed Timber As distinct from the roughing up of furniture with chains, keys and dropped bricks that restorers use to match reproduction pieces to time-scarred antiques, it not only ages a piece but makes it look more convincing. Properly aged pieces highlight subtle shading in half-tones, emphasizing structure and modeling, and delicately softens paint texture and colour.
